! \* n- R. Z4 ^. ?9 m, b) P F It's second time unlucky for Maicon and Real Madrid. Just like in 2010, the Brazilian full-back has been left hanging in his attempt to seal a move to the Spanish capital, while Mourinho has once again failed to land his favourite right-back. The club, which was never convinced by the deal, has eventually won out in its tug-of-war with the Portuguese manager.

U1 t) f Despite Mourinho pulling out all the stops to convince the club of the need to sign Maicon, on this occasion the 'Special One' has failed in his mission, with the club preferring to bring in a younger player with greater future potential and on lower wages.
