Jonjo Shelvey is hoping an impressive performance for Liverpool's second string will catapult him into the Reds squad to face Manchester United.

The 19-year-old midfielder scored in Liverpool reserves' 4-0 win over Norwich on Tuesday, a match watched by Kenny Dalglish.
United host Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime in what is sure to be a fierce match, given the history between the two great rivals, and especially considering recent events.

'Games don't come much bigger,' said Shelvey. 'I came on last year there in the FA Cup. It was a great atmosphere to play in.
'Hopefully I can be on the bench on Saturday, but we'll have to wait and see. It will be a great atmosphere and we'll have a great set of fans (travelling) there.'
